May 28, 2004 — More Jeff

As Brad mentioned in his comment to my previous entry, Frank of chromewaves blogged about Buckley today, too.

I had forgotten that tomorrow is the anniversary of his untimely death, 7 years ago.

[Thanks for the info, Brad]

Has it really been 10 years?

Got a newsletter this morning from jeffBuckley.com, and in it, I learned that Columbia is releasing a Legacy Edition CD/DVD combo of Grace this fall to commemmorate the 10th anniversary of the album's release. The fact that it's been 10 years just floors me... it seems like only yesterday that Vicki and I were in a crush of people at St. Andrew's watching him onstage. And even after 10 years, Grace is still one of the CDs I listen to most. It still sounds fresh.

Buckley was such an amazing talent. I still can't believe that he's gone.

May 27, 2004 — The Spoon Theory

"When other people can simply do things, I have to attack it and make a plan like I am strategizing a war. It is in that lifestyle, the difference between being sick and healthy. It is the beautiful ability to not think and just do. I miss that freedom. I miss never having to count "spoons"."
