When wearing a new item of clothing that you really really like (for example, the fabulouspants), do not tempt fate by ordering, say, turkey chili for lunch. Because you know that the guy behind the counter will over-fill it, and the lid won't stay on all the way, and when you pull it out of the bag to begin eating the lid will pop open sending steaming hot turkey chili splashing all over your lap and arm and hand and the aforementioned new item of clothing.

Be thankful for having the foresight to have placed many layers of paper napkins, plus the plastic inner bag your roll was wrapped in, on your lap first. And for strangers bearing extra napkins.

I totally love you, you fabulously pink, one-size-smaller-than-I-was-wearing-before, clearance rack bargain beauties.

[p.s. - To those of you I called or text messaged last night to brag about my new pants and my incredible shrinking ass, I apologize. I'm just a little overexcited, since I haven't been this size in, oh, 7 years. Hee.]

It's sale and clearance season, and, while I don't have much cash to shop with at the moment, I'm making a list of the things I'd love to pick up if the opportunity arises.  Stuff like:
