Kali woke us up at about 4 a.m., roaming the apartment, singing and chirping and mewing and wanting attention.

It was almost like she was in heat. Except that she just got spayed on Thursday, so technically, the parts that would make her go into heat aren't there anymore.
I called the vet this morning, and he thinks that what is happening is a result of her hormones readjusting... that once her body gets normalized in a few days, she'll be fine.
So the sleepless nights might not be over for us just yet...
Our other issue has been with Dub. He has been, quite frankly, a complete brat for the last couple of days. Pretty much any time Kali comes near him, he hisses at her. On a couple of occasions, he has even growled. We've tried very hard to make sure they are both getting plenty of attention during this time. And I've already done the "rub a t-shirt on one kitty and then rub it on the other kitty" thing, and it hasn't helped. The vet suggests rubbing Kali down with catnip, then giving Dub some. We'll see if that helps.
I just hope they can peacefully coexist soon. I'd hate it if this whole ordeal leaves them without the close relationshp they have always had. It pretty much breaks my heart to see Dub being so mean to his sister.
