Back from Florida, with a few hours' worth of suntan and a whole lotta catching up to do (we had to extend our stay for a day, which was both good and bad - more on that later). I took a few photos, and will have more to post about our trip, but right now I'm trying to get unburied.

I do want to give a quick shout-out to Melissa and Derrick, with whom we had a fantastic evening last Friday (wow - that was less than a week ago, but it already feels like forever). It was SO AWESOME hanging out with you guys, I really hope you enjoyed the rest of your visit to NYC, and I hope we get to do it again real soon - on our turf or yours.

Dinner: October 19, 2005

It's been a rough week. I worked 13 hours yesterday, and got home right around the time we'd usually be turning in for the night.

I knew I'd be working late, but I wasn't expecting to work THAT late, so I held off on ordering dinner. When I got home around 11, I was completely wiped out, and I hadn't eaten. Usually in those situations, I'll just skip it and go to bed.

But I smelled something wonderful when I walked in... warm wholegrain rolls, and chicken soup with veggies and wild rice that Mike made (from scratch!) just for me. He knew I'd be hungry, so he made me something warm and comforting so I didn't have to go to bed with an empty belly.

Tell me I'm not the luckiest girl...

Grey Clouds/Gold Bands

So it's been raining for a week straight now. Since my body does oh so well with the cold and damp, as you can imagine, I haven't been feeling great. So I'm cranky.

Anyway.
